Life is just getting in the way of blogging is all. Picked up another job, had to give up my day off at the 1st job, and my pet sitting business is picking up too.
I still check my dash as much as I possibly can every day, and once I get my scheduling down to a science I hope I can start posting again.
I’m going to bed now though. Night all!
Soooo…..not really a whole lot goin on in my little corner of the world. Literally just working every day, getting back into the gym a few times a week and trying to stay on track with my food. Which I would estimate to have a 92% success rate for the last 2 weeks (yay!).
Got a membership @ Golds gym, so there’s that….
Yeah, pretty mundane stuff.
Finally had a night out with my friend BD! Haven’t gone out drinking in ages, though the last time I did my truck was stolen, so a valid reason to avoid it I think.
Oh! If you are ever in Columbia, SC and you love a dark, cheap, punk rock type crowd New Brooklyn Tavern is your place. Its loud live music and pretty awesome drinks IMHO. I love places like that cause there is one in every town so it always feels like home, and the people are always interesting to talk to. BD lives in Cola so I stayed at her place for the night while my most awesome neighbors took care of my fuzzy family (fyi, I will be introducing all of them to you in the near future).
So yep, that’s the last 2 weeks in a nutshell. Back home now, put All Dogs go to Heaven on the TV for my furry monsters (yeah I’m that dog/cat mom haha) and cleaning cleaning cleaning the house. Good times.
In short: 100% Awesome in the food department!
Not a single binge!!!! This is a major accomplishment, normally it happens a couple of times a week and I feel really discouraged. But this week not a single misstep and I couldn’t be prouder of myself!
Also, every meal was healthy, fruit and veggie filled, properly portioned, and homemade. Lots of smoothies for breakfast and I think I’m finally honing in on my fav (mostly the spinach and berries are winning, but I’ve got other things to try so we’ll see how they hold up).
This week feels like a total win! I turned down both Starbucks and Papa Johns and for the 1st time instead of obsessing over how much I wanted it I dismissed it, felt 10x more awesome than normal and went on about my day.
Also, on me at all times: phone, wallet, keys, WATER BOTTLE! As long as its on me I’m a H2Oaholic so I make sure I never leave home without it (fyi, my skin is already clearing up and I’m gonna have to credit the water for that one).
All in all its been a good week for nutrition, so I’m going to go plan out next weeks meals and make it 2 weeks of awesome in a row. Also, Monday I start back to working out (maybe tomorrow, but definitely Monday). My back hurt a lot this past week but I’ve done a ton of stretching and it’s finally starting to feel ok again (picked up another massive dog at work, bad idea). Gonna start back with the elliptical and some light weights, then next Saturday (weather permitting) the 5k trail, cause I’ve really missed it….yes, I said it, I’ve missed working out.
What up 2012?!?! Haha
While it would have been nice to lose weight in December my true goal for the month was to maintain. After all, my birthday, christmas and all the goodies clients bring to the office for christmas only happens once a year. Well I’m proud to say, mission accomplished! End of November 215, today 214.6.
Now back to losing weight! 3 days in and I am doing well with my diet, even turned down some delish lookin pizza cause I knew I had something better for me at home.
Two of my new years resolutions are based around my eating habits, but were not made for health reasons. First, no more eating Mom and Dad’s food. Mainly because when I go there to eat I end up staying there doing nothing till midnight while my house gets messier and messier and I neglect things I need to do. Added bonus though, more control over my food. While my Mom makes great food they tend to not be the best for you and I over do the portion sizes cause I see how much goes on their plates as well. Secondly, eating out all the time is over. This is mostly a financial decision (it was costing me a small fortune) but also I love fast food and in sit down resturants its nothing for me to clean my plate and still be down for dessert. So all in all a healthier decision as well.
215lbs & I think I look damn good in my christmas dress!
Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! I spent the day with 42 of my relatives and a few of their friends, and from many many posts I’ve seen I should be extra thankful that I love all of them and we had a drama free christmas for at least 25 years (maybe more, I just wasn’t born yet). What can I say, we all like each other.
(Side note: this picture marks the 1st appearance of Ichabod the cat on my blog lol)
Why must your clothes be so expensive yet fit my oddly proportioned body so freakin well?!?! I’ve never in my life hoped/prayed/wished clothes wouldn’t fit, and the one time I do every last item fits perfectly! Four dresses and in each one I look damn good, but now I must decide which three must go back…so very very sad right now.
only20seconds asked: Hey there. Thanks again for doing the spreadsheet. Its awesome. Cindy
No problem! Glad I could help out :-)
To those who have been waiting, sorry it took so long for me to get this together!! Here it is, anyone with the link can make changes to the spreadsheet so it should be easy to keep up with everyone’s progress (and keep up that accountability!). Personally, I’m going to save the link somewhere on my weigh in page for easy access and convenience since I still want to keep it recorded there too.
So ta da! 10% in 4 Spreadsheet
I’ve eaten very poorly for the last few weeks and exercised exactly zero times in those same weeks. Also, water intake was slack up until this past week, but still not great.
And you know what have I noticed: -my skin has broken out badly -I caught a cold and can’t seem to shake it -I’ve definitely gained weight (though I refuse to weigh in this week, I’ll weigh in next Wednesday after I’ve had a week of good foods and lots of water) -I’m super tired -My productivity and concentration at work, yeah, not happening -My clothes are uncomfortable -and much, MUCH more
Going grocery shopping in an hour, then home to prep, cook and pack everything for the next week. I can’t wait to feel good again!
I had forgotten what this felt like, lesson learned: It Sucks!
